This place is truly a joke. The only thing that was decent about this place was the drinks. The food is bland, the atmosphere is entirely too loud, and the service is frankly god awful. I went there with my family for a nice night out and when we were shown to our table, they claimed to be out of clean silverware and proceeded to give us plastic to-go forks and napkins. We spent three quarters of the time hacking at our meals with this. Long story short, it is a ridiculous restaurant and I flat out refuse to ever go back.

Had a very hard time getting waited on at our table. Our booth was in rough condition and bathrooms were only slightly clean. Been here before and never had an experience quite like this one. Very unfortunate. Food was ok though.

The waitress, Ashleigh, was phenomenal. The place was packed, but she was came out a couple times letting us know when our food would be out. Then again when it came out she checked on us a few times. She gave excellent service. We ordered burgers and chicken fingers for the kids. The burgers were excellent. The bbq on the burger wasn't too much, just right. We'll be back!

Always a fan of Cheddar's, I've gone on several occasions. And it's always been good. Love the big $3 dollar margaritas. And we've never had a problem with the food.

The worst service and management you'll find in Fort Wayne. After waiting 40 minutes for our drinks, never receiving our appetizer and salads, we finally called for a manager to complain. She had a horrible attitude and was very disrespectful. While we were explaining why we were unhappy, she put her hand up as if to "shoosh" us. She told us "Well, I don't know what you want me to do about it" then threw her hands up and stomped away. Not only that, but the servers can be seen in clusters in the corner socializing with each other and obviously gossiping about customers. This place is just the worst.

A few years ago I would've given this place 1 Star. However, I gave this place another shot a while back and it was AMAZING. I had the pulled pork, carrots and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious, our waiter was friendly and helpful, food service was the perfect speed and we all had a great time. I look forward to revisiting and having another great experience. Make sure you get the big cookie to share with your friends... Yum!

Decent food - better service this time around than I received the last time I was there. I was disappointed that they changed the menu and no longer have the chili burger.

I was very unexcited by this restaurant. My co workers and I had to go here because we weren't able to eat anywhere else since it was 10 pm and everything else was closed besides IHOP(which I would have preferred). We were seated in the bar. Our waiter was pretty inattentive. I asked for a milkshake to be brought out during appetizers. I didnt get it til dinner and it was pretty bad. I ordered a crispy chicken salad. I got one dressing and I used it up really quickly. I asked for another and I didnt get it until after the checks were brought out. I never ended up eating the rest of the salad.

If you're a vegetarian DO NOT visit this place. Honestly, I usually avoid chain restaurants at all cost but a family dinner was the culprit. The staff had no suggestions although there were things on the menu that were veggie friendly. They seemed clueless and misguided. The managers suggestions were awful. Conclusion... they must not have a real chef. Maybe prepackaged frozen food only??? I've been to countless places were a proper chef was able to make something. I was with 20+ party. I chose not to eat and at the end of the day I am not a promoter. This place truly needs to step it's game up.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but today was not good! When we told the hostess there were 11 in our party, she argued with us and said there were only 9. When we were seated and she realized that there were 11, they pulled a table out for the 2 extra. Once we were seated, we realized the extra table was broken and wobbled so much that the salt and pepper shakers were sliding off. When we requested a new table from our server, she said she would look for a 'legit' table. She came back with the manager who told us that there was nothing that could be done. We placed a few menus under the table and made it work. Upon ordering, several of us were sharing meals and our waitress seemed annoyed that not everyone was having a full meal. After the table beside us left, we switched their table with ours, making us feeling better...until the waitress 'caught' us. One person in our party ordered their salad specifically without croutons and when it arrived there were croutons on it. Followed by a sigh from the waitress when it was pointed out. Our food was delicious! They comped our appetizers, which came after our meal. I will return, but in hopes that next time will be better!

Just stopped in to Cheddars and got another great meal. Their Monet Carlo sandwich was as good as ever and their baked Spaghetti/lasagna was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and their waitstaff was friendly. Cheddars continues to surprise me.

Like the casual atmosphere but lunch service was super slow and as a party of six they squeezed us into a long booth which was uncomfortable.Chicken finger platter was nothing special.

I was unaware the Cheddars had made it to the made it to the Midwest. To me, the visit was no different than others at chain-family style restaurants. They had a lot of the menu; comfort, american, and Italian dishes. I had the spaghgna in meat sauce, which is spaghetti that is shaped as lasagna. It was good. Other people at my table had the catfish, ribs, and steak, which they enjoyed. I also enjoyed my Texas Sweet Tea but it had a lot of ice. On my second when I asked for less ice, the waiter told me that they would give me the same amount of drink and use the ice I already had....interesting. Decor is a modern wood cabin which made you feel warm and cozy. Waiter was nice, but slow on getting the food in. Heard the prices are great and that is true especially on the drinks. It was an ok visit, just not sure If I would select it again if I am in town.

Cookie Monster is the bomb diggity. Something to get when you want to celebrate, but not an everyday thing. Burgers are always good. I just had a Key West Chicken and Shrimp which is also excellent.

Great food for a descent price. Our service was excellent our waitress brought everything quickly and kept our drinks filled the entire meal. The meal was cooked to perfection and rhe spinach dip is always awesome!!!!! The bathrooms were clean and the decor looked like all the Cheddar's I have been too. We live closer to the Findlay restaurant but enjoy the Fort Wayne one because it's not as busy!!!! I agree entirely with the one person who said some people just don't appreciate the value and the quality they have when it's in their hometown and I don't think you can judge based entirely on your waitresses inability to do their job that shouldn't reflect on the chef's ability.

Would rate higher but this place has consistently poor service. Saallloooow! Do businesses not get it....READ your reviews and fix your service levels!

Beautiful space, lots of totally unhealthy choices. But, everyone seems to love that. Portions are huge. Still, you're paying a fat price for fried fat food. Lack of stars because the service is always subpar. Plus, there always seems to be an undisclosed "upcharge" for something. Sneaky. If they could do an overhaul with their staff and revise their menu with contemporary choices this could be one of the best restaurants in town.

Something always seems to disappoint me each visit. I think some of the plants in here must have a horrible odor; something literally smelled like urine on one visit and I really hope it wasn't our waitress. Another time we went with my husband's married co-worker and our young, classless waitress was making a fool of herself attempting to flirt with him - then brought me some horrible potato soup without a spoon... thanks. Guess I'll put my straw in it? The last visit I paid extra for their delicious croissants and our waiter just never showed up with it. If my husband didn't like their spasagna, we'd probably NEVER go here. Service is horrible and most of the food isn't much better. Our only successful service experience was when we were seated in the bar - maybe we'll stick to that side.

Decent food, menu almost has too many choices. It's a bit over priced for what you get. The portion sizes are huge so you can split a meal between two people.

Worst dinner experience I have had in a long time!! Travel about 200 nights per year so I eat out a lot. My advice...stay away!!! Ordered a piece of salmon asked for it to come a little more done, it was almost raw. Though I asked for the baked potato plain, it was slathered in cheese and sour cream, when I asked for a new one the bar tender just scraped the old one off (cheese still dripped all over my piece of salmon) and brought me another, this time dripping with butter. She was clearly more interested in talking to the other servers on this very slow night than providing someone a good expreience. Lots better in Ft. Wayne.

We gave this place 3 chances and it struck out. Mediocre chain restaurant food. Horrible service.

My first time here so the jury is out until I get my meal but it looks impressive. OK got my meal. This was the Chicken fried Steak and boy was it good. We are talking made fresh breaded here with fresh white gravy and mashed potatoes. Complimented by Sweet baby carrots that melted in my mouth. My wife had The chicken strips. These strips were twice the size of any strips anywhere! Succulent and breaded fresh on the spot. You can tell fresh from frozen because the batter was crisp and crunchy fresh. I am definitely going back for more on the menu. The Sweet Tea was excellent! The service was great and courteous from the greeting to the departure. sincere and very informative wait staff and this was during a busy lunch on an early Saturday afternoon. Now i may have come in at the peak of an excellent wait staff on a summer afternoon. I will have to check this place out in the dead of winter and see how attitudes are affected. Looking at past Reviews i have to think Winter may have been a factor of opinion with cabin fever and all along with post Christmas stress? lol All said and done on this given day i could find no negative factors during my visit. Am i easy to please? All it takes is good quality food and service and this YELPER is happy!

My first trip was this Thursday, October 4th. Was excited to try this restaurant. Had gone online to see the menu and decided the Roasted Pear Salad sounded scrumptious. Upon being seated and ready to order the waitress informed me they did not have the ingredients for the Roasted Pear Salad. I was so got ! This was at 12:05 pm. Really ? Ordered the Asian Salad with chicken and shrimp. It was good but not something to drive the 50 miles for. The waitress mentioned that the day before they didn't have the food to make the Monte Cristo Sandwiches. That is just poor management. Forgot to mention that unwrapping my napkin that was holding my knife and fork left me speechless. The knife had two flattened big chunks of food/lettuce on each side. As my friend stated "how on earth could those big pieces be missed when whoever was wrapping the silverwaer." She is correct on this observation....they were not miniscule dots of food. They were huge ! Our waitress was pleasant and very attentive. Had no problem with her. Am sure she was embarrased by it all. Would I make a special trip to this restaurant again.....hmmmm...probably NOT !

This place is so disappointing! Three times in a row they have had very slow service and terrible wait staff! This last time was the absolute worst experience that I have ever had! Busy night so we waited 20mins to get in. Then we sat at the table for an hour. The waitress didn't come by and ask to refill our drinks, the manager didn't come by to apologize. After an hour and twenty minutes I finally yelled at the manager to stop and talk to me. He told me that didn't have any flour to make the chicken tenders that we had ordered. So, after ninty minutes, he tells me that they can't finish our order, and then only because I stopped him to inquire. I had asked our waitress 20mins earlier (that was the last time we had seen her for the rest of the night. She never came back!) she just said " has the manager spoken with you yet?". Then left! He actually said that he was a terrible manager, and that he was laughing in the kitchen because things were so bad. I will never go back, and I suggest that you avoid it at all costs.

Service was below average; the server seemed to just want to make us fed and get us out. Atmosphere was typical for a "casual chain restaurant." We had the chicken fingers, onion rings, and steak. The steak was actually one of the best I've had: supberbly tender and well seasoned even though a litte overcooked. Onion rings were pretty good and my date remarked that the batter on the chicken fingers was unusually good. Overall I wouldn't return unless my only other choices were Applebees, Long John Silvers, or Outback.

Great food, as usual and our waitress was incredibly friendly. I usually avoid chains, but Cheddar's is one of my favorite stops when I'm on the road for work.
